About Us
Mary Ann Martin Johnson was born on Thanksgiving, November 26, to proud parents Mr. Monroe Sr. and Mrs. Corine Mc Arthur. She was the eighth child born out of nine children.

She has been writing poetry since she was eight years old, and started out entering local poetry contests to try to win a car for her mother. Her poems were always labeled “Unknown Author.”

She dated Mr. Dwayne Vincent Johnson for three years and on June 22, 1979, they were united in Holy Matrimony. They had three children, two sons, Areket (deceased) and Artie, and one daughter, Althea.

In July 2001, The International Library of Poetry published her first known poem, “Just One Drop” in the book titled EMBRACING OUR PASTS. She also won the Editor’s Choice Award from that same selection. Being out of work from 2000 – 2001 due to constant sickness, she set out to write her first book, which was published later. Plagued with the high cost of living, she contacted several book companies, friends and family members to help support her with her endeavors. With no support from family members or friends, she stepped out on faith and published her own CD-ROM version entitled “Poetic Flare.” The book comes in CD-ROM or cassette tape. Armed with no funds, she went to the public library and utilized their resources to make one of her dreams come true. If anyone asked her what kept her focus on task, she’d say, in one word, “Perseverance,” If anyone wants his or her dream to come true also, he or has to work a little each day and, before long, his or her dream would come true too. Don’t ever forget the key word, “Perseverance.” NEVER GIVE UP!!!

We at MAMJPW.COM empathize with the disabled. It may take as little as 30 days to qualify for funds or it may take over two years to qualify. In the meantime, the disabled person still has to go on living and meeting daily medical or physical needs. As a result the disabled are stuck in the middle of nowhere with no help from anyone. We want to be an avenue to help those disabled people until needed funds become available for them.

We would like to help other disabled workers to sell their homemade products. Our goal is to be an avenue for the disabled person to sell their items online and network with other customers who will utilize these items for their own personal use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question
Why did you start the MAMJPW.COM website?

Answer
This website was started by Mary Ann Martin Johnson, CEO of MAMJPW.COM, because she is disabled.  After looking for programs and help for her medical needs, she found out that there isn’t help for anyone with some or partial health insurance.  Medical costs are now at their highest point.  So, being disabled, she is not able to sell to the local public because of her inability to walk and because of her sicknesses.  She thought of using the internet as her selling tool.  For more information on this question, please read the entire “Home” page and the “About Us” page.
